Gas installations & maintenance

Testing and Issuing of Certificates of Compliance for Gas:
On selling a house that has any form of gas appliance, the seller has to supply the buyer with a current CoC for gas (as one would need for electrical installations).

We do installations of the following:

  • Gas fireplaces (both flued and flueless) – the cleanest method of heating your home
  • Gas water heaters – the advantages over electric gas geysers are that:
    • They are highly efficient
    • Supply of hot water is endless
    • Gas is a green energy source
    • There is no danger of a burst geyser
  • Gas stoves and hobs – both internal and external installations;
  • Gas braais
  • Gas fire pits

All installations come with a one year warranty and are installed to South African National Standard 10087-1.

Property inspections

We consider property inspections to be an influential part of the home-buying process, whether you are buying, selling or leasing, a property inspection should be performed as a matter of priority to establish the condition of the property. Discounting a property inspection before you buy or sell could result in unexpected costs for the buyer and delays in the sale for the seller. We provide a certified property inspection service in KZN, for Buyers, Sellers, New Build Owners, Realtors, Landlords and Insurance Companies. We convey impartiality to property deals through providing independent property inspection reports to allow buyers and sellers to negotiate fair and equitable deals.

    FAQs

Why would I need an inspection when buying a home?

    More Info

Most real estate purchasers have little to no prior knowledge of, or expertise in, real estate and construction.

Professional inspectors have the knowledge, skills, and experience to detect costly problems, so it is very important to include an inspection in the home buying process (particularly when buying a home built on improved land).

Most of the value of residential land comes from the house.

A house with one or more severe structural, electrical, heating, or plumbing problems can cost tens of thousands of rands or even more.

Consequently, spending a few hundred rand on an inspection is worth the investment.

What type of things does the inspection cover?

    What about a rental property?

    More Info

Landlords and tenants often disagree on who is liable for repairs or damages to a rental property.

The best way to avoid conflict is to have a thorough inspection report done, providing a written report with photographs created by an impartial third party.

“I’ve worked with Frank and his team on many occasions and have been impressed each time. It’s not often that you find guys in the construction industry that stick to budget and over deliver.”

    Multiple home renovations

“I cannot overstate the value of Frank’s expertise and knowledge in advising me of potentially major and costly-to-repair concerns in going ahead with the purchase of my property. He spent a considerable amount of time testing and visually inspecting critical components of the house and was extremely helpful in pointing out issues, both those that can be modified and those that cannot as well as aspects that will require ongoing maintenance. The report was thorough and easy to read and understand.”
